The Managers
The practice and office managers are resposible for the overall management of the practice building and staff. They meet weekly with the partners to ensure the smooth running of the practice.
The Medical Secrataries
The secretaries undertake all of the secretarial duties of the practice thus releasing the doctors to see more patients. They are trained beyond normal secretaries to be able to deal with the complicated nature of the medical field.
The Health Care Assistants.
The health Care Assistants undertake numerous roles in the practice. They take blood (phlebotomy), take ECGs (heart tracings), assist with minor surgery and cervical smears, fit 24 hour blood pressure cuffs, as well as assist with reception and typing work.
The Reception Staff
The reception and office staff are the front of house staff who answer queries, make appointments, take and give messages as well as giving general advice about the administration of the practice to the public.
